Joomla publication extension

The Joomla publication feature automatically publishes content from OpenKM to Joomla. OpenKM Joomla publication feature can upload HTML content and related images from OpenKM to Joomla. 

This feature by default is disabled. Read Configuring Joomla integration for enabling it.

Publish content

  • Upload HTML file.
  • Set metadata group "Joomla Publication".

Each type is a set metadata group "Joomla Publication" it executes the automation task name Joomla metadata.

The Joomla metadata automation task, processes the HTML content looking for images into and uploads the HTML images found. The automation task, also sets a metadata group "Joomla Media" on images, that identifies them as a Joomla images

As result of action, Joomla returns:

  • Article and category ID what are saved into "Joomla Publication" metadata group.
  • Media ID and path what are saved into "Joomla Media" metadata group.

Update content

Each time an HTML content or image, already yet published into Joomla, is updated in OpenKM will be automatically processed by automation task named Joomla content and media.

The OpenKM automation task named Joomla content and media update the content into Joomla.

All HTML Joomla content in OpenKM have the metadata group "Joomla Publication", also any Joomla image in OpenKM have the metadata group "Joomla Media". These metadata groups are used in automation task to check if documents are joomla contents and then upload to Joomla.
