MCP Client Stats

This read-only page helps the administrator check the status of the manual MCP (Model Context Protocol) client, used by AI Chat test to connect to external MCP servers and use their tools.

This menu entry only appears under Administration > Utilities > AI when the okm.mcp.manual.client.enabled configuration property is set to true. If the property is not enabled, or the client manager has not finished initializing yet, this page shows a warning or info message instead of the client statistics.

MCP Client Stats

Once the client manager is active, the page shows a panel per configured client, with:

  • Status: Ready or Not ready.
  • Tools count: number of tools available from that client, shown when the client is ready.
  • Server Capabilities: the raw capabilities reported by the connected MCP server.
  • Available Tools: a table listing every tool's name and description, grouped by the underlying service that provides them.

If a client is Not ready, the panel shows the error reported and a note that the client may still be completing the handshake with the MCP server. Refresh the page after a moment to retry.
