Cron expression format

The expression field follows a 6-field cron format:

Expression samples:

  • "0 0 * * * *" = every hour of every day.
  • "*/10 * * * * *" = every ten seconds.
  • "0 0 8-10 * * *" = 8, 9 and 10 o'clock of every day.
  • "0 0 6,19 * * *" = 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM every day.
  • "0 0/30 8-10 * * *" = 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00 and 10:30 every day.
  • "0 0 9-17 * * MON-FRI" = on the hour during nine-to-five weekdays.
  • "0 0 0 25 12 ?" = every Christmas Day at midnight

Returns a list of all crontabs.

update

Description:

update(long id, String name, String expression, Boolean active)

Update a crontab.

Parameter description:

  • The id parameter must be a valid crontab id.
  • The name parameter is the new name for the crontab.
  • The expression parameter is the cron expression that defines the schedule. See the expression format above.
  • The active parameter enables or disables the crontab.

reset

reset(long id)

Reset error and set end time for a crontab.

This method clears the error state of a crontab and updates its last end time. Use it to recover a crontab after a failed execution.

Execute a crontab task manually.

Triggers the crontab task immediately, regardless of its scheduled expression.
