Requirements

Before running the application, be sure to install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio.

  • Adobe Reader XI.
  • Windows Installer 4.5.
  • .NET Framework 4.8.0 (x86 or x64).
  • Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 (x86 or x64) (Recommended).

The application only detects digital signature certificates that are installed in the user’s Windows store and that include the private key. If the certificate list appears empty, it means the computer does not have any certificate installed under these conditions.

For a certificate to be recognized, it must meet these conditions:

  • Be a personal certificate with an RSA key (ECDSA certificates are not supported).
  • Be installed in Personal, within the current Windows user’s store (the same user running the application). This can be checked by opening certmgr.msc → Personal > Certificates.
  • Include the private key. A .cer or .crt file is not enough, since it only contains the public part.

Installation depending on the certificate type:

  • .pfx / .p12 file: double-click the file → choose Current User → complete the wizard, making sure it is saved in Personal.
  • USB token or cryptographic card: install the manufacturer’s driver first and connect the device; the certificate will be registered automatically in the Windows store (the PIN will be requested when signing).

After installing the certificate, the application must be closed and reopened for it to appear in the selection list.
