LogCat

The LogCat feature helps administrators access Tomcat log files directly from the application.

Logs are shown in a table structure:

File Action

Tip

The main Tomcat log file is named catalina.log.

This file rotates each night, creating a new catalina.log file and saving older ones with the name catalina.log.year-month-day.

Purge all logs

The purge option will clear all Tomcat logs.

• On the top right, click the Purge button.

Download file as ZIP

• Choose a log file.
• Click the Download as ZIP icon.

Browse log file

• Choose a log file.
• Click the Browse icon.
• Use filter options.

Filter options:

Option	Description
Begin	Indicates the row position. By default, 0 indicates the start of the document.
End	Indicates the row position. By default, -1 indicates the end of the document.
String	Filter by text.
