Check text extraction

This feature helps the administrator verify the text extraction process.

It can check the extraction process based on:

• Document to be processed
  • Document UUID (see tab properties when the document is selected in the general application user interface).
  • Document path.
  • Document outside application (choose a document from the file system to upload).
• List of available text extractors.

Check text extraction

• Choose a document to be processed
  • OpenKM document:
    • Fill in the document UUID field or the document path.
  • External document:
    • Choose a document from the file system to upload.
• Choose one text extractor from the list of available text extractors.
• Click on the Check button.

Tip

After the process completes, the text extracted by the selected text extractor is displayed.

Caution

The text extraction process can take a few seconds or minutes, depending on the size of the document to be processed and the file MIME type.
