Metadata

The registered metadata groups are shown in the Metadata view. In this view, you can create, modify, or remove metadata definitions.

Property groups are shown in a table structure. The first row (three columns) corresponds to the general property group definition. The following rows are field definitions in the property group.

Property Description
Group label The group label is shown in the user interface on the Property group tab.
Group name Unique group name identifier.
Two property groups cannot have the same name.
Please use only letters, numbers, and underscores: “0-9a-zA-Z_”.
Group info Shows information about:
- Visibility (the property group is hidden from the user interface).
- Read-only (the property group cannot be modified from the user interface).
Field label Field label is shown in the user interface on the Property group tab.
Field name Unique property group field identifier.
Two property group fields cannot have the same name.
Please use only letters, numbers, and underscores: “0-9a-zA-Z_”.
Field width This parameter is used for rendering the width of the field in the user interface view.
Field height This parameter is used for rendering the height of the field in the user interface view.
Element This parameter sets the element type. It is used to render multiple values in the field in the user interface view.

- Input
- Iframe
- Select
- Separator
- SuggestBox
- Text
- TextArea
Others Shows extra information about the field.

To add, modify, or delete metadata, there is only one operation for all: edit the metadata XML definition.

  • Click on Edit metadata.
  • In the Edit view, modify the XML.
  • At the bottom right, click the Edit button.
