Database delta sync

The Database Delta Sync feature helps the administrator connect to a source OpenKM and re-sync only the nodes created or modified within a given date range, on top of a bulk import already performed with Database import.

Tip

It is meant to be run repeatedly with a shrinking date range while the source instance stays in use, and once more, with the source frozen, as the final cutover pass.

Field	Description
Source DB URL	Connection URL of the source OpenKM database.
Source DB user	Name of the user of the source OpenKM database.
Source DB password	Password of the user of the source OpenKM database.
Source tenant ID	ID of the tenant from the source OpenKM.
OpenKM source	Version of the source OpenKM database schema: OpenKM v6.4 or OpenKM v7.1.
Source API base URL	Base URL of the source OpenKM REST API, e.g. http://source-host:8080/openkm. Used to fetch the activity log and the document content of the changed nodes.
Source API user	Name of the user of the source OpenKM REST API.
Source API password	Password of the user of the source OpenKM REST API.
Changes since	Start of the date/time range of changes to sync.
Changes until	End of the date/time range of changes to sync.

Sync delta

• Set the Source DB URL, user, and password.
• Set the source tenant ID.
• Choose the OpenKM source version.
• Set the Source API base URL, user, and password.
• Set the Changes since and Changes until date/time range.
• Click the Sync delta button.

Note

Once finished, a summary is shown with the number of candidate nodes found in the activity log, how many were processed, the errors, and the elapsed time.
