Text extractions failed

Available at Administration > Statistics > Text extractions failed, this feature helps the administrator review documents whose text extraction failed, listing the error registered for each one: the document’s UUID and name, the error message (e.g. an unsupported MIME type, per the built-in text extractor plugins) and the error date.

  • To search, fill in the Filter by UUID, name or message field and click the search icon. The filter is case-insensitive and matches any part of the document UUID, the document name or the error message.
  • Click the info icon to view the error log details.
  • Click the refresh icon to reset the document: it is removed from the error registry and queued for re-indexing (re-extraction).
  • Click the delete icon to delete the error log entry only, without touching the document.
  • Click the Reset all button to reset every document shown by the current filter: their error log entries are removed and they are queued for re-indexing (re-extraction).
  • Click the Delete all button to delete every error log entry shown by the current filter, without touching the documents.
  • Both actions only affect the entries matching the filter (all of them, not only the current page). With an empty filter they affect every text extraction error.
  • The confirmation page shows the filter applied and how many entries are affected, and requires typing yes to confirm.
  • Click the Error Summary button to see every distinct error message grouped, with a count of how many documents are affected by each one.
  • To narrow the list, fill in the Filter by message field and click the search icon.
  • Click the Reset all or Delete all button to act on every error message shown by the current filter at once.
  • Click the refresh icon of a message to reset every document with that error at once.
  • Click the delete icon of a message to delete every error log entry with that message at once.
  • All these bulk actions require typing yes to confirm.
